We’re monsters and we’re lovers,
all the same, so plain,
playing without pause,
this hellish wicked game.

Until we’re fed up hurting,
until we wake up cold,
until the mountains melt,
and we discover gold.

Press pause, and breathe,
find your release and flow,
so that which holds us back,
may be,
and helps us all to grow.

In moon shine all glows silver,
the sun brings joy and warmth,
yet something stirs inside,
has weathered all the tides.

So gracious fresh and eons old,
neither warm nor cold,
let all the clouds unfold,
till moon and sun are one.

There the monsters soften,
held in your embrace,
they dare to show their grace,
where love is simply space.

Find the monsters inside and bow down to them. They may hold the greatest treasures…
I have found that IFS (Internal Family Systems) can help to face these parts of us that so often act as monsters until they are heard and seen and cared for.
