What is lost is found,
freedom and adventure abound,
spinning round and round,
letting go, hear thy sound.

The great carver cuts away,
nothing left to hold onto,
nothing left for me to stay,
there is only the way.

When love is greater than wanting,
when leaving is a gift,
don’t hold onto anything,
don’t create another rift.

The road is long, so damn long,
searching for this place to belong,
oscillating between weak and strong,
like an endless wave in the ocean.

I miss you, but what am I missing?
Is it this projection I put on you?
Is it the truth I see in your eyes?
Is it this fleeting moment of oneness,
in endless separation?

This, I have to say, sounds like desperation!

Where despair meets care,
at the place where ways cross,
between coming home and loss,
it becomes so obvious:

There is nothing that cannot be done.

But it is He, who does the doing,
and Her, who holds to truth.
Always renewed.

Thus are the laws of the Lovers:

Love shines greater than any sun, yet lives in the smallest of things.
Truth cuts deeper than any shadow, yet holds all beings together.
Beauty searches for its equal, yet reveals itself in innocence.

A big thank you to all the women in my life and their ways of teaching me about what it means to love and what it means to be alive: To listen deeply, to be present wholeheartedly, to be of service to others, to embrace vulnerability, to struggle and strive for what is meaningful and true, to open to intuition and wonder about the world, to find the light in dark places, and to stay when it gets difficult.

Thank you Anna, Krysha, Lara and Jasmin for your guiding light to find my own. Thank you Nadia, Konnie, Ulrike, Ursula and Kirsten for your wise counsel.
