A warmth spreads through my chest,
as you were listening on my behest,
grasping our worlds, we tried,
something old has gone and died.

With new-found vigour we move on,
sails are set with stronger bonds,
the wind is blowing directly west,
life’s awakening with every breath.

A chance encounter,
between foreign tides,
kindled fire melting ice,
the shadows drop, we are alive.

This poem came to be through a chance encounter in an EM (Ehrliches Mitteilen / Honest Sharing) session.
